Cardiff has the widest spread of event spaces in Wales - arena and sports venues, hotel function suites, university spaces, clubs and conference halls - and each of them asks something different of a production rig. MGH Events is based in Barry and covers Cardiff as part of its core South Wales patch.
MGH Events works across Cardiff regularly, including fight nights at Vale Sports Arena. A city-centre hotel function room and an arena floor need completely different sound and lighting specs, so the rig is built for the room rather than pulled off a shelf.
Whatever the venue, MGH Events supplies and operates the whole production - sound, lighting, lasers and effects, LED screens, DJ services and the planning behind them - so it is one team responsible for the rig rather than several suppliers meeting for the first time on the day.
